Kathmandu, 4 July: A special bench of the supreme court Thursday began  arguments on writs filed against the appointment of Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi as

chairman of the interim election council.

Next hearing in scheduled on 1 August.

PRACHANDA IN DHULIKHEL

Kathmandu, 4 July: Maoist Chairman Prachanda Thursday arrived in

Dgulikhel where he’s staying at a hotel.

He went out of town after a controversy developed in UCPN over nominations to top party positions.

Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai resigned from all party positions

following rivalry in the UCPN Maoist.

An extended meeting of the central committee has been called to discuss te rival later this month.
