Some secretaries transferred

Kathmandu, 6 Sept: A meeting of the cabinet Saturday decided to transfer some government secretaries.
Gobinda Kusum has been appointed home secretary while Umesh Mainali has been transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister from home.
Dipedra Thapa has been appointed secretary at the Ministry of General Administration.

Three spurs along Kosi river repaired

Kathmandu, 6 Sept: Three spurs damaged by the flooded Kosi river was repaired Saturday, Radio Nepal said.
The repair by Nepalis, including technicians of Nepal Army, has helped to reduce the impact of the floods.
Government also began constructing shelters for flood victims in Sunsari as Singha Durbar released Rs 2.5 billion as relief.
Indian railway minister and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav Friday made an aerial inspection of the flood-hit areas on Sunsari in Nepal.
The Indian Foreign Ministry stepped in to stop Yadav’s visit to Kathmandu for consultations with Nepal government without what was called adequate preparations.
Yadav blamed the Bihar government for the damage caused by the floods and said Nepal was responsible.
