PRAKASH MAN SINGH LEADS IN RACE FOR NC GENERAL SECRETARY

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: NC Vice-president and son of Ganesh Man Singh, contenting for NC general secretary from the panel of Sushil Koirala, is leading in vote counting that started Wednesday.
Singh has collected 465 votes while his nearest rival Bimalendra Nidhi from the Sher Bahadur Deuba camp has collected 329 votes Narahri Acharya trailing with just 48 votes.
Acharya is contesting from Bhim Bahadur Tamang’s group.
Chitralekha Yadav of the Deuba is leading in vote counting for treasurer by colleting 432 votes while her rival Parshu Narayan Chaudhary of the Koirala camp has gathered 399 votes.
Altogether 3,061 votes were cast,

NC ACTIVISTS KILLED INJURED

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: Three NC activists returning home after attending the NC convention in the capital were killed and three were injured when their car fell into a river in Chitwan Wednesday.
Their identities weren’t immediately known.
