PARKED BUS BOMBED IN NEPALGUNJ

Kathmandu, 15 March: Three persons planted two bombs in a parked bus at Nepalgunj and fled the scene Tuesday morning, eyewitness said.
Only one of two socket bombs exploded.
It wasn’t known who planted the bombs.

JUDICIAL COMMISSION TO PROBE FAILED MURDER ATTEMPT IN JAIL

Kathmandu, 14 March: Government Monday formed a three-member judicial commission to probe to last week’s failed attempt to shoot dead a man serving a jail sentence for alleged dealing in drugs and fake Indian currency dealings.
The commission headed by retired supreme court justice Rajendra Bhandary consists of Deputy Attorney General Prem Karki and DIG Kuber Singh Rana.
The commission reports to government in one month with recommendations; the commission will review the country’s overall security system and present suggestions.
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, who also looks after the home ministry, told parliament this week such a commission would be formed.
Indian hired killer Jasjeet Singh entered the high security Central Jail Thursday and shot Yunis Ansari who survived with right shoulder injury.
Ansari has blamed Indian foreign intelligence agency RAW for his attempted murder.
Six suspects were arrested Monday from the capital where two persons who hired a motorcycle to Singh have also been arrested.
Police have launched a search for two persons who fled the prison after entering it with Singh who held several meetings with convicted French serial killed Charles Shobraj in the prison before shooting Ansari.
Shobraj has been convicted for murdering an American and Canadian when thy visited Nepal at the height of the hippie movement.
A failed attempt was made to kill Ansari last year.
Nobody has claimed responsibility this time for attempted murder of Ansari
Instead of media tycoon Jamin Shah was shot dead at Maharajgunj 13months ago next to the Indian and Japanese embassies.
Police helped Shah’s killers even to flee the country.
Indian criminal gangs have claimed responsibility for hiring hit men to kill
Shah and Mirza Ali Beg, a RPP lawmaker, earlier.
Police have come under heavy criticism for law security at the jail.
