STRONG QUAKE IN FAR-WEST CRACKS HOUSES IN DARCHULA
(BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 4 April: A strong earthquake measuring
5.7 on the Richter scale with epicenter at Chapri in far-West Darhula district bordering India and Tibet hit the remote region at 5.16 on the late afternoon, Department of
Mines and Geology said with Radio Nepal reporting damage.
State radio said at least six houses cracked at Darchula district headquarter,
including district court.
People panicked and rushed out of houses in the far=West districts from
The hills to the plains.
No reports of casualties have been received so far.
