SITUATION CENTER FOR MONITORING TO BE FORMED


Kathmandu,23 May: A situation center will be established under the secretariat of a special committee for the first time to minitorformer Maoist fighters, Maoist military leader Barsha Man Pun said.



Altogether 126 monitors will also be recruited to oversee 19,000 plus former Maoist fighters at 28 cantonments and satellite camps following a meeting of a special committee for integration and resettlement chaired by Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal Monday.
The development comes among difficulty to monitor activities oflformer combatants.
The committee met after a one month break.
The personnel will be recruited from three state security agencies and Maoist PLA.
The personnel will be dispatched in the next three days.
Teams will consist 16 members each—four each from three state security agencies and four from PLA.
