MAOIST WHO THREATED BABURAM BHATTARAI SUSPENDED THREE MONTHS
JANAK BARTAULA SUSPENDED THREE MONTHS; FURTHER DETAILS OF MAOIST SC MEET
Kathmandu, 21 May Maoist trade union leader Janak Bartaula was suspended by standing committee Saturday for three months for issuing a death threat to Vice chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai who called the treat an ‘anarchic’ activity which should be curtailed.
Bartaula denied he issued the threat calling Bhattarai a ‘respected leader’ at the committee where he deposed.
The committee also quizzed Bhattarai’s security guard Samir Chetri.
The party committee regretted 33 percent women weren’t included in the government after Jayapurti Gharti refused to take her oath of office and secrecy after being appointed minister
The standing committee said the mistake to disregard approved party policy to reserve 33 percent quota for females in state bodies wouldn’t be repeated and the ‘mistake’ would be corrected.
But it’s unlikely the party will replace the Maoist male ministers already in government with women to give females weight age.
Standing committee also decided by to delay its mass mobilization campaign for a constitution from 25 instead of 24 May
