DANG COLLISION DEATH RISS TO 10 UPDATE

Kathmandu, 7 Jan, : Dang collision between a truckbus and a jeep Saturday has risen to 10 lives and five are injured.
Most of the dead are jeep passengers from Birjung.

PRACHANDA IN MINORITY SAYS GAUJREL

Gajurel said that the CC members close to the establishment faction would also cast vote against party chairman if there was voting in the CC meeting as Dahal was moving ahead against the party's official line.

Addressing a conference at Battar in Nuwakot this morning, Gajurel said the Baidhya faction was in favor of new government by replacing the Bhattarai-led government.

At the same occasion, Gajurel said the Baidhya faction was not against the peace process and would not wage war though they were advocating for popular revolt.

NEPAL TO BE LINKED WITH ASIAN HIGHWAY
Kathandu, 7 Jan.: Minister for Finance Barsha Man Pun has said that would be constructed Mechi-Mahakali Highway would be linked to the Asian Highway, RSS reports from Kanchanpur.
Minister Pun who arrived to monitor the Dry Port and Customs, and Revenue Offices in Kanchanpur pledged to construct bridge over Mahakali River.

The finance minister said that the stock market was improving though some problems were seen of late adding that plans were afoot for online service and expanding the stock market in the regional-level.

Minister Pun said the problems related to realty sector would be resolved soon though problems exist in it. He, however, said all indexes of economy were positive in the country. He said the problems of real estate sectors would be settled by making policies.

The central bank has already issued directive to the banks to increase the limitation on real estate loan from Rs 8 million to Rs 10 million, Pun said.

Minister Pun said that the government was planning to transform the apartments into hotels and buying the houses by the government built in the city area.

Pun on Saturday inspected the construction site for dry port in Dodhara-Chandani.

MADVAV KUMAR SPEAK ON PREDOMINANTLY RIVAL COMMIE GOVT.
Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: Senior leader er of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the performance of the UCPN-Maoist has been poor in view of running the State affairs, RSS reports.

Addressing the party strengthening campaign launched by the CPN-UML workers special district committee here on Saturday, former prime minister Nepal said the Maoist-led government has been a 'failure' since it could not give any relief to the people except than making them frustrated.

The party has started losing its standing due to the growing rift and culture of factionalism within the party, he claimed.

He accused prime minister and Maoist Vice Chairman Dr. Baburarm Bhattarai of forming the biggest cabinet in terms of the number of ministers in the history of Nepali politics and making the prime minister's personal secretariat as recruitment center for his 'near and dear'.

The prime minister's decision to ride the Mustang Max car was just for cheap popularity, he added.

Blaming the Maoists for causing obstructions in concluding the peace and constitution drafting process, UML senior leader Nepal claimed that the incumbent government has been appearing as the 'most expensive government' ever in the history.

The Maoists have been trying to politicize the Nepal Army by causing hindrances to the army integration process in different pretext, he said and accused the incumbent government of promoting violence and impunity in the country.

The former party general secretary and the prime minister claimed that his party has a capacity to run the government once again if the parties became ready for working together.

MAIN OPPOSITION REJECTS PRESIDENTAL SYSTEM PUSHED BY RULING MAOISTS
Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: Central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), Sujata Koirala has said that the NC would not agree on executive presidential system in the new constitution to elect Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as president, RSS reports from Lamjung..

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday, Koirala said Dahal can be a ceremonial President if he was willing for the post but the NC would not agree on the executive presidential system at any cost.

She accused the Maoist leaders of attempting to derail the peace process in the name of the intra-party rift.

She warned that the NC would move ahead on its own if the Maoist did not mend its policies.

She was of the opinion that maximum of six federal states were appropriate for the country.
