PM CONSULTS SMALL PARTIES THE DAY AFTER SACKING

Kathmandu, 24 March: Seventeen small parties in parliament Saturday
told Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is to complete the twin processes of peace and constitution within the 28 May deadline.
The meeting was held on the initiative of Bhattarai.
Parties asked the government chief not to distribute to children of naturalized citizens – a cause pushed by a front of Madeshbadi parties in government.
Bhattarai briefed parties on the ‘progress’ in the peace and constitution drafting
processes and government work in a bid to collect their support.

UML YOUTH LEADERS PRESSING PM
Kathmandu, 24 March: UML youth lawmakers are meeting Prime
Minister Baburam Bhattarai to press him as part of a party pressure
campaign to complete peace process and constitution promulgation by
28 May.
The team Friday held discussions with senior UML leader and former
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal for the same purose.

ROLPA FIRE CONTINUES UNCONTROLLED
Kathmandu, 24 March: A fire at Dhawang, Rolpa, has destroyed six houses
and adjoining forests causing damage estimated at 10 million rupees
The uncontrolled fire is threatening neighbouring community forests.

ONE PERSON DEAD; ANOTHR INJURED IN TRUCK ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 24 March: One person died and other was injured in a truck
accident on the Narayanghad, Mugling highway.
Initial reports driver lost control of the loaded truck heading for the capital from Hetauda.
