RAIN KILLS CATTLE IN JAJARKOT

Kathmandu, 4 July:: Hundreds of cattle have died in Jajarkot, a hilly district in the mid-western region of Nepal, after a heavy rain coupled with storm lashed the region

The people from Pahada Mulsam of Rokaya VDC-1 in the district lost 15 mules, 150 sheep and 90 horses.

A local from Rokaya VDC, Janak Rokaya, said they are very worried after the cattle died. The cattle including horses, mules and sheep are used to ferry essential goods in the district.

The cattle died in the pastures after the rains, he said, adding that they are facing hard time to eke out living after they lost the cattle.

Kathmandu, 4 July: Doctors treating Nelson Mandela said that he was in a “permanent vegetative state” and advised his family to turn off his life support machine, according to court documents dated June 26, obtained by AFP Thursday, AFP reports
