MAOISTS ASK NC TO JOIN GOVERNMENT

Kathmandu, 12 March: Maoists Saturday asked NC to join the communist majority government of UML and CPN (Maoist).
Maoist Vice-chairman Narayan Kazi Shrestha Saturday offered ministries controlled by it to the NC to give the government headed by Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal who is also UML Chairman a ’national character”.
Chairman Prachanda told another public meeting Saturday delayed government expansion will be completed in another week and discussions were ongoing.
Vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai said Maoists will take charge of the home ministry in another few days.
He said parties were involved in ‘political hassles’ in denying the ministry to Maoists
Bhattarai said a secret 7-point agreement between Khanal and Prachanda will be the foundation of a ‘national government’.
Meanwhile, Khanaal said in the capital Saturday leftists
have to move ahead together to give leadership to national politics and said leftists have made important contributions in the past.
