THREE FAMILY MEMBERS COMMIT SUICIDE

Kathmandu, 19 May: Three members of a family committed suicide Tuesday night by taking poison at Auronodaya VDC-6 Khahare in Tanahu.
Dirgha Singh Kumal, 31, elder wife Shri, 22, and son Sandip, 11.
Younger son Sudip from the second wife is well
Neighbours found them dead Wednesday morning,
Dirgha Singh had two wives.

WOMAN LAWMAKER FREED ON RS,1.5 MILLION BAIL

Kathmandu, 19 May: Lowman lawmaker Gyatri Sah was freed Wednesday after paying a Rs.1.5 million bail slapped by a special court three days layer for misuse of her of diplomatic passport.

SEVEN INDIAN PARAMILITARY SOLIDERS KILLED IN SUSPECTED NAXALITE LAND MINE EXPLOSION

Kathmndu, 19 May: A senior police official says seven paramilitary soldiers have been killed in eastern India is a land mine explosion they believe was triggered by Maoist rebels, AP reports from Patna.
Ram Niwas said Wednesday they five troops were killed on the spot.
in the attack in Chhattisgarh state a day earlier.
Two others died in hospital.
The area is a stronghold of the rebels who are demanding land and jobs from the government for the poor.
Suspicion in such attacks usually falls on the Maoists because of their long history of similar attacks in the area.

NSC MEMBER-SECRETARY RESIGNS

Kathmandu, 19 May: National Sports Council (NSC) member-secretary Haribabu Chaudhary resigned Wednesday with the change of government.
Chandhary was nominated from the TMLP--now in the opposition--,in the Madhav Kumar Nepal government.

AGRICULTURE STATE MINISTER RESIGNING

Kathmandu, 19 May: Agriculture State Minister Nanda Kumar Dutta said he’s resigning if the present situation continues, Rajdhani reports.
He’ll resign detailing reasons to Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal by tomorrow evening [Friday]
He told journalists he’s resigning on principle as a junior was appointed minister and he had only been assigned only responsibility of state minister.
Dutta was appointed in MJFN quota.

BAIDYA CHARGES PARCHANDA BEHIND HIS ARREST IN INDIA

Kathmandu, 19 May: Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran of UCPN (Maoist), at a secret meeting of loyalists, has revealed Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda was behind his and Secretary CP Gajurel’s arrests in India during the insurgency, Prakash Timalshina reports in Rajhani.
Kiran and Gajurel were released in India only after the peace process and couldn’t participate in the much talked about Chunwang conference.
“Chairman Prachanda got through the proposal democratic republic proposal at the Chunwang conference by my and Comrade Guarab’s arrests in India,” a member present at the meeting told Rajdhani.”We must move cautiously and thoughtfully Prachanda is a person who can do anything.”
Kiran has directed leaders and workers close to him to be alert as Dahal was attempting ’elimination’.
The serious charges were leveled at
a training camp of district workers above rank of district secretaries summoned to the capital.
According to sources, in the past week, loyalists from the east and center were summoned and a meeting of three more commands will be held soon.
