REACTION OF MJFN CHAIRMAN TO PARTY SPLIT
Kathmandu, 23 May: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav, who is also chairman of MJFN that split Monday, said the division was engineered overnight in a conspiracy against a two-third government would certainly secure to approve a bill in parliament to amend a constitution to extend the tenure of the constituent assembly with a two-third majority.
The split was also to foil peace, constitution and loktantra, he charged

Co-chairman Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta split with 13 of 25 lawmakers from the mother party and formed MJFN republican—the fifth largest party in parliament.

PARLIAMENT SESSION BEGINS WITHOUT INTERRUPTION
Kathmandu, 23 May: A session of parliament began Monday afternoon without disruption Monday.
Government is presenting a bill to amend an interim constitution for the ninth time to extend the tenure of the constituent assembly for one more year after 28 May.
A legislative session was rescheduled Sunay by posting a notice after threats of disruption by opposition.

UML POLITBURO OPPOSES ONE-YEAR CA EXTENSION UNDER PRESENT CONDITIONS

The party has proposed integration of 5,000 Maoist combatants in state security agencies to be completed in nine weeks.
