Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Five Bhutanese on an indefinite fast in Jhapa
fell unconscious where thy on strike Saturday morning land have been rushed to hospital in the east Nepal district.
Three women weRe admitted to hospital Friday after they fell ill amid the fast complaining of weakness.
They are demanding refugee status from UNHCR administering
camps in the area.

FARMS BEING CLEARED OF MAIJUANA PLANTS IN

Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Police have started its second phase of campaign to clean up illegal farming of marijuana in Mahottari from Friday, RSS reports from Bardibas.
More than 5,000 saplings of marijuana have been destroyed in Bhatauliya and Ankar VDCs of the district in the first day of the campaign yesterday, said District Police Office, Mahottari.
The clean-up campaign will last for a week in the settlements which are famous for the cultivation of marijuana, informed Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Kedar khanal.
Police have also made arrangement to provide with seeds of hybrid species of fruits so as to encourage farmers cultivating marijuana in alternative farming.
Earlier, marijuana planted in two bighas of land was destroyed in the first phase of the campaign undertaken a month ago, police said.
