MOVE TO WITHDRAW GOVT. BILL IN PARLIAMENT TO AMEND INTERIM CONSTITUTION STALLED UPDATE

PARLIAMENT HASN’T MET UNTIL 9 AT NIGHT TO WITHDRAW GOVT. BILL UPDATE
Kathmandu, 18 Nov.: Parliament hasn’t met until nine at night Friday to implement a government decision to withdraw a government bill to for the 11th amendment of the interim constitution.
Main opposition is seeking a guarantee for the formation of a state restructuring commission to suggest a federal structure.
The Big Three and Madeshbadi parties are still holding consultations following the cabinet decision.
Dev Gurung of rebel (CPN Maoist) hoped the process to form
a state restructuring commission would begin soon.

NC was the only party to issue a whip asking lawmakers to be
compulsorily present to vote for the passage of the government bill.

JAG MOHAN SHRESTHA ARRESTED WITH EQUIPMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL CALL BYPASS
Kathmandu, 18 Nov.: Jag Mohan Shrestha was arrested by
police with Rs,2 million equipment used in international telephone call bypass.
He was arrested from his home in Sanepa, Lalitpur, with the
equipment.
