PM SEEKS SUPPORT OF SMALL PARTIES

PM BHATTARAI HOLDS DIALOGUE WITH SMALL PARTIES ASKING FOR SUPPORT

Kathmandu 28 Nov.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Monday
held discussions with small party leaders
on extending the constituent assembly (CA) term after 30 November.
Bhattarai consulted leaders of RRP, Rastriya
Janamorcha and other parties.
The premier sought support for a six-month
extension,
Bhattarai held consultations ahead of a meeting of parliament Tuesday for
the extension of the CA by six months to complete twin processes of constitution drafting and concluding the peace process.

ANOTHER MINISTER SAYS INCUMBENT GOVT. WILL COMPLETE TWIN TASKS

Kathmandu, 28 Nov.: Minister of State for Information and Communications, Sarita Kumari Saha has said the task of drafting the new constitution and taking the peace process to a conclusion would get completed during the term of the incumbent government itself, RSS
reports from Bardibas.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Mahottari chapter in the district headquarters Jaleshwor on Monday, State Minister Saha said the present government is ready for moving ahead on the basis of national consensus so as to take the country on a right track.


The frequent rumour of government change would spread a negative message among the people, she said, adding that the preparations for producing and disseminating programs on local languages through the state-owned media were underway.

Minister Saha arrived in connection with her visit to her hometown.

FNJ district Chapter President Hari Prasad Mandal chaired the program.

TEACHER KILLED IN BAITADI ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 28 Nov.: Two persons died in separate accidents in Bajhang district,, RSS reports from Baitadi.

A teacher of Arjun Higher Secondary School at Gajari died on the spot after falling off a jeep (Se 1 Ja 213) heading towards Khodpe of Bitthad of the district.

The deceased has been identified as Shree Kumar Saha of Dhanusha district, according to police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Bahadur Karki said the accident took place when Saha fell off 200 m from the road at Siddheswor-3 along the Jayaprithvi Highway when he jumped from the jeep after the tire of the jeep punctured.

Police informed that Saha was going to Dadeldhura to attend the examination of Master´s Degree.


Police personnel from the Area Police Office, Patan, and Police Post, Kodpe, have been assigned to acquire more information about the accident.
