PM VISITS 9TH HANDICRAFT TRADE FAIR
Kathmandu, 28 Nov.: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai visited the Bhrikutimandap on Monday to observe the Ninth Handicraft Trade Fair that is being organised at the Exhibition Hall there for the past
five days, RSS reports.
The Fair organised by the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal with a view to promoting the business of Nepali handicrafts is concluding today.

The event began on November 24 with the theme of "Craft Created Locally: Marketed Globally".
On the occasion, the prime minister observed the Nepali, Pakistani and Bangladeshi stalls.
The fair participants from Pakistan apprised the prime minister of the problems they faced during their arrival here. They complained of stealing of their goods and imposing of two fold taxation by the officers without heeding complains on the pilferage of goods worth Rs 50,000 at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
In response, the Prime Minister directed Leelamani Poudel, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to find out the facts and take action if anybody is found guilty regarding the complaint.
The Fair has showcased some 200 stalls including 20 from Pakistan and ten from Bangladesh related to different handicraft products.
