FORMER KING VISITING FAR-WEST

Kathmandu, 23 March: Former King Gyanendra Shah in visiting the far-West for two days beginning 29 March, Bacchu KM reports in Naya Patrika from Mahendranagar.
He will spend two nights in Dhandadi and Mahendranagar.
A Kailali welcome committee is headed by Paras Bahadur Singh while Hikmat Singh Bhandari heads a Kanchanpur welcome committee.
He’ll offer puja at Siddhibaba temple in Mahendranagar.
He’s visiting the region for the first time after a republic was declared.

APPA SHERPA COMPLETES 936 KM OS HIS TREK

Kathmandu, 23 March: Appa Sherpa of Mount Everest fame has completed 936km of his Himalayan Trail trek from the east in Taplejung to the far-West.
He’s now in Beni, Myagdhi.
