GUARDS IN AFGHANISTAN
Kathmandu, 2 April UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon condoled the
deaths of Nepali guards at the office of the world body in northern
Afghanistan Friday.
The secretary general telephoned Prime Minister Jhalanatah Khanal
Saturday to express his condolence.
Angry Afghans protesting the burning of the holy Koran in USA killed
the guards.
Conflicting reports said four to five Nepalis died
An aide to the premier said Ban may visit Nepal soon.

PRACHANDA TO ANSWER POINTS RAISED AT STANDING COMMITTEE (UPDATE)
Kathmandu,2 April: Maoist Chairman Prachanda will answer points
raised by standing committee members at a resort in Sindhupalchowk
Sunday, Spokesman Dinanath Sharma said.
All standing committee members expressed their views Saturday, he said.
The party met for a two-day session Saturday.
